Gautier Celebrates 30

This and other costumes currently showing at the Musée de la Mode et du Textile. This exhibition is in part celebration of Gautier's 30 years in fashion.

Sandra Backlund' Wins the Grand Prix

Our favorite avant knitter, Sandra Backlund is the winner of the Grand Prix at the Festival International de Mode et de Photographie in Hyères, France. This collection was titled "The Ink Blot Test", inspired by the symettrical images from the Rorschach Test. The Swedish designer's intent to transform the body into soft cloud-like figures were executed by fitting pieces of knitted mohair together like a jigsaw puzzle.
