Cocoon Loop Scarf in Kid Silk Haze

Kid Silk Haze from Rowan is one of those yarns that everyone loves, but can be a bit tricky to work with. I think it looks great with my Cocoon Loop Scarf pattern. The pattern is easy to follow, which makes work with this yarn easier, and it looks so gorgeous! I made this for a friend once, and she remarked how "lovely and airy" it felt.

Fable Handknit Yarns Update

Now that I finally got the Fable Natural body care shop up and running, I've added the natural knitting yarns in the online shop. Summer Beauty; Lips Tell All

It's so hot out here, I feel like summer some crept up. I didn't even get a chance to wear some of my early spring clothes. I went from cashmere cardigan to strappy slip dress! As for summer beauty, I tend to go bare faced. It's too hot, I feel it's pointless to put on the mineral powders only to sweat it all off. Taking care of skin is a far better solution than covering it up with make up. 

However, I do like a bit of a light lip color. Nothing heavy, something that is moisturizing but tints the lips, enhancing one;s natural beauty. I used to use liquid lip stains and lip markers, but I found that it rather drying, and you can't use it after applying lip balm. So I gave up on those. Since creating the Fable Natural line, I have formulated my own Sheer Color for lips, a mineral based lip color (no synthetic dyes) with organic Coconut Oil and Cocoa Butter to moisturize lips while tinting them with color. It leaves lips feeling smooth and silky. I promise! My customers love this product, they often remark that it smells really good too! Like geranium flowers to be exact. I think cosmetics should smell good but just make us look good.

Ever since I got back to Canada, from Brighton UK, I knew that I probably wasn't going to go back to having a job.
