Minna Hepburn ComingTo Toronto!
g
Just learned of a designer line called Minna. Minna Hepburn, the designer, make beautiful, feminine clothes. Her line is currently sold at Harrods and Anthropology in London. She will be opening a pop-up shop in Toronto at Gretchen & Co, 424 Eglinton Avenue West.
Love the aesthetic. But also really pleased to read that she uses all fair trade, organic, and recycled materials whenever possible in her collections. She collects fine textiles and lace pieces from markets and incorporates them into her designs, while ensuring that no materials are wasted in the production process, using remains to embellish her garments. Her designs are handmade in the UK, which is quite rare nowadays. I am rather impressed with her line.
Minna will be having an online promotion at www.minna.co.uk. You can get 25% off your order in August!

Lavender's Uses Through out History
It is noted that English royalty were particularly fond of Lavender. Lavender were stuffed in cushions and pillows. It was a symbol of cleanliness and purity. Lavender was used to scent clothes and linens. And in World War 1, it is noted that lavender was used to dress wounds. In modern times, a chemist discovered its use to treat burns after accidentally burning himself severely in his lab, he soaked himself in a bowl of lavender oil to observe its soothing effect, and how quickly his burn had healed and left no scar.
I am most pleasantly surprised to learn that Lavender is associated with the heart chakra, as sometimes when I meditate, I like to place a lavender sachet over my chest where the heart is.
My Lavender Sachets are available in my online shop. They are made with Liberty print cotton fabrics and filled with premium quality lavender flowers. I also make a Lavender Balm, a product that every household should have handy. It treats insect bites, burns, rashes, sores, itching, and may be used as a beautiful skin moisturiser for face, hands, and feet.
